'Vocational
teacher education' course came at a time when I was enjoying motherhood all
over again after 6 years. I successful completion my doctoral studies in
hardcore biochemistry subject and went on an extended holiday due to my little
baby. At that time my husband brings me the brochure for the course and
although I was a bit skeptical as it is 'vocational' I thought why not
explore something entirely new? So that is how I decided to take this course
and now I am extremely pleased about my decision.
The
first two contact days were nice and great to see such talented lot under one
roof. Although there was too much information to digest on the first day, the
second contact day was informative and got a taste of a virtual session. We
were placed into groups named after planets: Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
My group mates are Satu, Vera and Terhi. The selection into groups was
confusing and I quite did not understand why like-minded people ended up in the
same group. If everyone is not friendly with technology (like myself) then how
can the group solve each others problems? Finally around 3.pm, we had the first
virtual session. My laptop could not be connected as the adobe flashplayer
needed to be updated. I was anxious, as everyone seems to be in his or her own
battle to get the taste of the session. Satu, my group mate, gave me her
laptop!! So kind of her!!! And I am so glad that she is on our group.
Looking forward to the course and to make new friends!
